2016 is just around the corner, have you thought of your new year’s resolution yet? Losing weight, giving up drinking, finding a new job, traveling to a new place – we all resolve to make our lives better with every new year. Could it be about making someone else’s year special? Treebo, in association with Divya Deepa Charitable Trust, arranged for 33 children from the outskirts of Mysore to travel to Bangalore for the trip of their lives. These children, aged between 11 and 16, had never been to Bangalore, nor stayed in a hotel before. The initiative aimed at giving these kids a taste of the joy that travel brings to our lives, also making them learn in the process. As rightly said by St. Augustine, ‘The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page’. Looking at the innocent reactions of these kids takes me back to my first trip as a child. Seeing these children grin from ear to ear is nothing short of pure bliss, isn’t it? Treebo has resolved to do this every year, living the words of the great Dalai Lama, “Once a year, go some place you’ve never been before.” #JuniorChecksIn. Year after year.
