Flying can be scary, but it’s actually quite safe. However, there are some questionable items that one is allowed to bring on board the airplane. Portable Stove/Burner

Again, similar to a sewing machine, why would one need to bring a portable stove onto a flight. But in theory, anyone can bring one and start a fire mid flight. These things may eventually get banned being that they’re combustible!

Knitting Needles

Not that any grandma I know would use these in a malicious way, but knitting needles are surprisingly allowed as a carry on item. Due to their length and point, I would have imagined that grandma isn’t allowed to bring these death needles, but I guess when it’s for arthritis, it passes TSA standards!
