BJP has zeroed in on A listing ad firms, Ogilvy & Mathers (O&M) and Crayons to handle the publicity for its election campaign in UP for the upcoming 2017 legislative assembly elections. According to Times of India, BJP is all set to launch a 'publicity blitzkrieg', and wants O&M and Crayons to get things going. O&M is the same firm that handled the BJP campaign for the 2014 General Elections, which the party won spectacularly. In fact, Piyush Pandey was the one to design the 'Ab ki Baar Modi Sarkar' campaign, which played a considerable role in Modi's victory. Crayons Advertising is also a known brand among political campaign designers, with almost 20 poll drives in their kitty to show.

BJP national secretary Sidharth Nath Singh confirmed that the two firms were finalized after both presented their plans to BJP top bosses at a late night meeting, Economic Times reported.


"The campaign will have a 360 degree communication model, focusing on all possible ways of communication,", Singh told ET.

Akhilesh Yadav has roped in Harvard professor and successful political consultant Steven Jarding to design Samajwadi Party's campaign. Harvard alumnus Advait Singh is also involved in the campaign.


Other parties are also gearing up with their campaigns for the upcoming elections. Mayawati's Bahujan Samajwadi Party has tied up with IBL Technologies to handle promotions. The Delhi-based firm will be videographing her rallies in UP.
