Japanese Architect Builds An Invisible Train Will Hit Tracks In 2018

One of Japan's top-notch architects is building an invisible train, just like her other works that totally blend in with the surroundings. Kazuyo Sejima is known for creating buildings that become one with the scenery. The architect's work has been described as "fluid, transparent and intertwined with nature", one that has also earned her the prestigious Pritzker Prize.

A few limited edition trains will see the light of day in 2018, as part of the company's centenary anniversary celebrations.

"I thought it would be good if the train could gently coexist with this variety of scenery. I also would like it to be a limited express where large numbers of people can all relax in comfort, in their own way, like a living room, so that they think to themselves 'I look forward to riding that train again," said Sejima in a news release.
