The video begins with a man entering a transgender neighbourhood. He is looking for someone in particular and when you find out why, it will make you ponder. "Having a girl child is like watering a flower in the neighbour's garden." This is a proverb from Tamil Nadu, but sadly it reflects the attitude of a certain section of our society. The times might be changing but the sorry situation of the Indian girl child isn't. There has not been a curb in female infanticide and the girl child is still perceived as a burden on her family. We hope that after watching this video, more and more families start embracing the girl child and shower her with the love and affection she deserves.
