Popular rap music gets a bad rap for selling all the wrong things - drugs, sex, blowing up money on fast cars, but Tripura lad, Borkung Hrangkhawl is using it as a weapon to fight discrimination against people from the Northeast. He rose to prominence after his song "The Reality" outraged against the racist killing of Nido Taniam, a 19-year-old Arunachal Pradesh boy. Today Borkung's music gets millions of YouTube views, and he performs at venues across the country. Despite being stabbed thrice in racist attacks, Borung's voice has only got stronger.
