In a time when people start planning for their retirement few years after starting work, and leave the country behind looking for better packages, the story of a humble taxi driver from Mumbai can teach a thing or two. This man came to Mumbai with his brother when it was known as Bombay in 1964, and just a decade into raising their families together, his brother's sudden demise left him as the only breadwinner.

He raised both his and his brother's children, educated them and enabled them to build their own lives abroad, all from the income by the taxi. But despite invitations from them to live a comfortable life abroad, he chose to stay in Mumbai, drive his taxi and live an independent life. He says, " I'm 75 and still working because I believe that man should work as long as he can -- what good are your days of sitting around?", and refuses to leave Mumbai and his taxi, as both have given him so much.
