Here's your chance to make a huge difference in the world. Fresh from the oven of technology comes TraffickCam, a free of cost app that can help you fight against the crime of human trafficking. And you can do so by remaining completely uninvolved. All you have to do is download the app - iOS, Android and Web versions are up for download - and click four pictures of a hotel room you are lodging at. Make sure you note the name and location of the hotel.

Once you do this, the national database will record the snaps and cross-reference them with images found online, thus helping authorities to narrow down areas where human trafficking may be taking place.

"Right now there are pictures posted every day. Hundreds of pictures, in every city around the United States, posted online, that show victims of trafficking, in hotel rooms posed on beds," said Abby Stylianou, a TraffickCam developer.

1.5 million images have already been uploaded to the app. The aim is to help authorities zero in on locations which are being used by traffickers to trade humans around the globe.
