According to the local media reports, on meeting him PM Modi said, "Mr Dabangg Collector, how are you?"
This sparked off a controversy about his dress code while receiving VVIP guests. Katariya also posted a picture of shaking hands with Modi, on Twitter.
Chattisgarh's Chief Minister Raman Singh has turned down all the controversies saying that the officer has been warned of his dress code, no other action has been taken.
