This Economics Professor In UP Is So Clueless That He Does not Even Know What IMF Stands For

Days after Bihar fake topper Ruby Rai got arrested by police who thought Political Science is about cooking, another tale of such ignorance has come to light in Uttar Pradesh. And this time, it's not the students, but professors who don't seem to have basic knowledge about the subjects they teach. An associate professor of English who doesn't know the spelling of 'evaluation', and an economics lecturer who is clueless about the term 'audit' and the full form of 'IMF' were grilled by the evaluation coordinator at the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (ITHM). The shocking state of affairs came to light after ITHM found serious mistakes during evaluation of answer sheets of BA English, History and Economics Shyam Bahadur works as an associate professor in English at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, while Anil Kumar Pal is an associate professor in Economics, employed at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. The surprising part is that both of them have been teaching for more than a decade and have valid degrees. "The English teacher used wrong grammar while writing a two-line application letter seeking permission for evaluating papers. And he spelled evaluation as 'evalluation'. Pal failed to explain the meaning of 'audit' and didn't know that 'IMF' stands for 'International Monetary Fund', said evaluation coordinator and ITHM director Luvkush Mishra. Both the teachers also did not know who Akhilesh Yadav is or when India gained its Independence. Reacting to the news, UP governor and chancellor of the university Ram Naik said that both teachers have been backlisted and suitable action will be taken against them.
