These Pictures Of Prince Harry Reuniting Playing Holi With Gurkha Officers Will Make You Smile

Prince Harry’s beard became red after he was plastered with powder paint during Holi celebrations in Nepal. The young prince was on a visit to a school in the foothills of the Himalayas, and ended up taking part in the annual tradition of a paint fight. And he was brilliant at it. The ceremony started with locals putting paint on the Prince’s ginger colour beard. However, it soon turned into happy chaos when the Prince’s former Army colleague, Gurka officer Major Prakash Gurung, threw red powder on Harry’s shoulders.

'Thanks!' said the Prince with a grin, and then scooped up a handful of paint and threw it in return.

After that, the gloves were off, and the Prince, along with his staff, his police bodyguards and even journalists ended up playing Holi with the Prince’s Nepali hosts.

The Prince was attending a function at the Gauda Secondary School in the village of Okhari, 4,500 ft up in the mountains, to inspect how the British-based Gurkha Welfare Trust is working towards rebuilding the school after it was destroyed during the 2015 earthquake.

He was shown around the school, after which he played volleyball with the children. It was the school’s head girl Juna Garung, 15, who began the Holi ceremony by smudging paint on Prince Harry’s cheeks. And his instant reaction was painting her face in return. It got crazier when his old friend joined in the action.
