This Teen Walked 180 Kms With His Brother On Back To Spread Awareness On Cerebral Palsy

Hunter Gandee, a 16-year-old teen, walked 111 miles (nearly 180 kms) with his brother on back to spread an important message. The boy traced steps from his hometown in Michigan to the state capitol in Lansing to create awareness on cerebral palsy, a medical condition that his own brother is suffering from. The walk was a part of the annual event, Cerebral Palsy Swagger, specially organised to raise awareness for the disorder. The walk took five days - the brothers started on April 20 and reached on April 25.

Organisers of the event believe that walks such as these can bring focused attention on the disorder, and encourage a healthy discussion around it.

Hunter posted on Instagram, saying:

"Me and this little man are starting a long journey tomorrow, please keep us in your prayers and come out to walk with us! #CPSWAG"
