Lalit Modi's lawyer Mehmood Abdi held a press conference on Monday, June 15 to clarify stance on the Sushma Swaraj- Lalit Modi travel controversy that stirred up recently. Abdi held that there is no scam and that it is being invented, emphasising that the issue is being blown out of proportion and that Lalit Modi was media's favourite controversy child. Lalit Modi is being investigated in a 454 crore money laundering case relating to earlier IPL editions. Modi took to Twitter on Monday evening slamming the media and the BJP assuring there will be a reveal-all press conference, while naming important politicians like Chidambaram, Salman Khurshid, Shashi Tharoor and the erstwhile PMO in his tweets. "This is a political jamboree, people who are in political wilderness, vagabonds are trying to catch eyeballs," his lawyer said in the press conference. He also added that no court has declared him a fugitive or an offender.
