6 Times Queens Coming from All over the world Abused The Power Inside Many Absurd Approaches.

The world has seen its share of tyrannic rulers. Kings and queens, over centuries, have abused their powers, inflicting human torture over their subjects. However, there have been instances, where rulers, although have abused their powers, have done it in the most ridiculous fashion you can imagine. Albeit, such abuse of power have caused trouble for the subjects but you can’t help but laugh in retrospect at such ridiculous acts of atrocities. Let’s check them out. Frederick William I of Prussia – had a thing for tall guys: The Prussian was really into tall guys and wanted nobody less than a giant in his army. However, he soon realized that his kingdom had already recruited all the seven footers they had but he was far from done. Therefore, Frederick William 1 of Prussia started kidnapping tall men from other parts of Europe and formed his army of seven footers which he called “Potsdamer Riesengarde” (the giant guard of Postdam). However, the Germans secretly mocked them as the Lange Kerls or the “long guys”. By the way, the army never fought a battle because they were too precious to the King.

Caligula – made his horse the Consul of Rome

It is one thing to love your pets and a whole other thing to make him one of the highest authoritative figures of a country. Caligula, the craziest Emperor ever to have walked the face of the world, fed his horse, Incitatus, with oats mixed with gold flakes, made him stay in stable made of marbles and ivory manger, dressed him in gem stud collars.

All of these are acceptable, but Caligula allegedly planned to make him the Consul of Rome and also made the horse have dinner with the dignitaries invited to attend in honor of his favorite. He would also make arrangements to make Incitatus meet his dream dignitaries.

Saparmurat Niyazov – loved melons too much

He was a not king but the President of Turkmenistan but ruled over the land just like any other power hungry king would. Saparmurat had been batshit crazy throughout his reign and his remarkable ideas include building solid gold statues of himself, trying to build a castle made of ice, big enough for thousand people, in the middle of the desert and renaming the months and days of the calendar after his and his mother’s name.

When he was out of shenanigans to impose on people, he came with something incredibly ridiculous – The Melon Day. The country celebrated the day as a praise to aroma, taste and large size of melons. No innuendos, Saparmurat actually loved melons that much.
