8-Year-Boy Dies At Yuvraj Singhs Panchkula House Crushed Alive Under Gate

An eight-year-old boy was killed after a gate fell at him, at cricketer Yuvraj Singh's residence in Haryana's Panchkula district. The accident took place on April 19. The house belonged to Yuvraj Singh’s mother Shabnam Singh. The boy was playing the gate at the Mansa Devi Complex, Sector 4, a day before. The victim Kuldeep was a labourer's son. His family reportedly resides in the local slum area. The house is undergoing construction, which is why the gate was not properly fitted. The boy was dangling on the gate when it fell on him. “We got a post-mortem examination done today and handed over the body to the family. We have got no complaint from the family. It was the negligence on the part of the child. We have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPc in this case,” stated Rajesh Kumari, SHO, Mansa Devi complex. According to reports, there was no one at the residence at the time of the accident, as Yuvraj and his mother were at their Gurugram residence. The police have started the investigation and are trying to ascertain the situation when the incident took place.
