AAP-Delhi Police War Turns Brutal, AAP Leader Claims Police Tried To Run Him Over

Pandey also stated that he has filed a written complaint with Rajinder Nagar police station, adding "hopefully they will file an FIR in the case".

The AAP is currently in an all out war with the Delhi Police after Kejriwal referred to them as "thullas" because of the brutal murder of a teenager. The CM has been demanding that the jurisdiction of the Delhi Police come under his purview, rather than the Central government.

AAP workers and volunteers clashed with policemen on July 21 while protesting in Anand Parbat in West Delhi, where a 19-year-old was brutally stabbed to death.

Kejriwal met with Delhi police chief BS Bassi on July 20 and sought information on pending cases of crimes against women, however, sources in his party said the police refused to furnish this information.

Bassi later told reporters that the police was still investigating the case and could not reveal any information.

In the midst of this tussle with the police, Kejriwal wrote an open letter to the PM asking Narendra Modi to, either spare some time for law and order in Delhi, or turn over the control of Delhi Police to him.
