Now that she has booked a place for the Rio Olympics, gymnast Dipa Karmakar has set her sights on a medal at the Games. The 22-year-old from Tripura became the first female gymnast from India to qualify for the big event and first overall since 1964.

She scored a total score of 52.698 points in the qualifying event on Sunday to seal a spot for artistic gymnastics. She also won a gold medal at the event.

If her success in the qualifiers is anything to go by, Dipa certainly has what it takes to secure a podium finish. So here's wishing her the best of luck as she represents her country on the biggest stage ever.
