Founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth Baba Ramdev on Saturday announced that he plans to set up an international university in Delhi. The University would be of the level of Harvard and Cambridge. While announcing plans for his university, Baba Ramdev mentioned that the standard of the university will match that of Harvard and Cambridge and students from there would be tempted to study here.

Plans to open it in the next five years for over a lakh students

At the function held at the Vatsalya Gram Centre in Vrindaban, Baba Ramdev also mentioned that he plans to establish the university in the capital city and would cater to one lakh students for different fields. Although there was no mention on the kinds of streams he plans to have.

Baba Ramdev is known to have contested established famous brands

Baba Ramdev has been known to come out with healthier products which contest other products in the market. There have been Patanjali beauty products, food items (including biscuits and noodles), clothing items (Yogawear), and medicines, among others.

This announcement comes when there is an estimated 3-3.5 lakh Indian students seeking education abroad for lack of their courses of choice. If the university comes to fruition, a lot of education problems for aspiring students in India might be solved.
