Neel Sethi’s ‘The Jungle Book’ didn’t just get good reviews but the film is doing great at the box-office. The film released on April 8 and has been doing so well at the box-office that it has managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark on the second weekend and even during the week days and 2, the movie halls claimed great occupancy. It’s surprising that the film managed to overtake overtake Akshay Kumar‘s Airlift after third Saturday (day 16). Shattering the record that Khiladi Kumar’s Airlift created, The Jungle Book has already claimed its place as the HIGHEST grosser of 2016 till date. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote:
#TheJungleBook surpasses the biz of #Airlift... Emerges the HIGHEST GROSSER of 2016 *so far*... Note: Hindi films. India biz.

It's rather surprising that a Hollywood film has managed to do so well despite having a tough competition from Shah Rukh Khan's Fan. Will Jungle Book rule the box-office this week too? Time will tell. :)#TheJungleBook is now aiming for ₹ 150 cr... [Week 3] Fri 3.58 cr, Sat 6.65 cr. Total: ₹ 132.96 cr nett. India biz. BLOCKBUSTER!
