In what can only be described as truly horrifying, a leopard recently broke a glass window to climb into a couple's hotel room in Nainital. As shocking as this news is, one can only imagine the level of trauma the couple must have endured. Because this right here isn't an everyday occurrence. So this is how it all happened. Sumit Rathore and his wife Shivani are fast asleep when the big cat leaps into their room. And then a lot of things snowball. Glass shatters. Sumit wakes with a start. The leopard shits bricks. It dashes to the bathroom. The couple locks the leopard in the bathroom. The police are called. With forest officials in tow. Rescue operations begin. Someone shoots a video.

The furore outside the door, however, scares the animal which manages to run to its own safety before the humans can rescue it. It does try to attack one of the personnel who tries to sedate it with a dart gun.

Everything described in the incident above happened at 4:30am in the morning. According to reports, the leopard was reportedly chased by dogs which led it to the hotel.

With all the drama that ensued, we're just glad that no one got hurt.
