Sambo, a female elephant died of an heart attack while carrying tourists to a Cambodian temple. She had been ferrying passengers for 40 minutes in 40°C heat, ferrying tourists to the ancient Angkor Wat Temple. According to a vet, she succumbed to ‘high temperatures, heat exhaustion, and lack of wind that would have helped to cool her.’
