In an attempt to revamp its anti-corruption helpline, Arvind Kejriwal-led government of Delhi is all set to launch an anti-corruption app that will turn smartphones into a handy spy cam. This would allow people to conduct sting operations by recording the acts of government officials demanding bribes or practicing any other form of corruption. They can then send the recording to the helpline for further action.
Where this app would surely encourage some people to go corruption-free – even if it’s only for a short while – how the government is planning to regulate the possible abuse of its app is perhaps the real question.
