Google Smart Contact Lens May Soon Let You Watch TV and Check Your Glucose Level

In June last year, Google had filed a patent application that showed off a smart contact lens to check glucose levels in diabetics. However, the tech giant might have bigger plans - the eyeball-injected 'smart device' will replace your eye's natural lens, attaching to the lens capsule. The patent includes a lens, storage, sensors, a battery, and radio components, Digital Trends reported.

And it won't require charging - well, not conventionally via Micro-USB, but a “energy-harvesting antenna.” Sony has also recently filed a patent for a smart contact lens to let you watch multimedia content.
