The acute drought and water crisis has claimed another life in Maharashtra's Latur. Kevalbai Kamble, a 45-year-old woman from Atola village became the latest victim of the extreme weather on Wednesday. Kevalbai was standing in a queue to fetch water from a borewell for over two hours when she collapsed.
She was declared brought dead in a local hospital.
This is the second such incident reported from the state in the recent times. Last month a 12-year old girl died in Beed after she collapsed while collection water for the family.
