Who would have thought that India had such a personal connection to Game of Thrones?! Fans who love the show would tell you how massively attracted they are to GOT merchandise - be it vinyl figures, props or clothes. And who would have thought that Dehradun would be home to not one, but TWO companies that make all this cool stuff?! According to Sbcltr, the companies in question include RS Windlass & Sons and Lord of Battles - both of which operate from Dehradun. RS Windlass & Sons literally own a license to produce all the awesome GOT clothes - which includes Jon Snow's black fur coat! Not only this, the production house behind GOT sends out orders to Windlass & Sons for their show, their collectors and for other re-enactment purposes!

With a textile mill in Noida, Windlass & Sons have made tons of replica costumes used in several Hollywood films like Gone with the Wind, Rome, Harry Potter and even Star Wars!

"We are the only manufacturer of licensed garments for Game of Thrones in India," said Sugandh Windlass to The Hindustan Times.

"The knife James Bond throws at the end in Skyfall was ours. Remember the sword Liam Neeson had in Batman Begins? That was ours too," added Pradeep Windlass, the president of the Windlass group.

The worst part, however, is that all merchandise manufactured is directly shipped to the US and the Europe. Retailing in India is not something they do but one can always stay positive.
