IPL 2016: Kings XI Punjab appoints Anand Chulani as peak performance coach


Anand Chulani mentioned his mission will be to help players to develop the mindset, strategy and resources to be happy, confident and successful in IPl 2016. Kings XI Punjab today appointed veteran international speaker Anand Chulani as their peak performance coach for the upcoming ninth season of Indian Premiere League (IPL). Chulani has also worked with the franchise in previous sessions of the league. “I am excited to work with Kings XI Punjab. Our team is committed not just to winning a championship, but building a culture that breeds mentally and emotionally fit, high performing and team-driven players,” Chulani said, while emphasising that his mission will be to help players to develop the “mindset, strategy and resources to be happy, confident and successful.” Chulani has been associated with different business, sports and entertainment organisation. He has worked with players like Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Steve Smith, eight-time Grand slam champion and Olympic gold medalist Serena Williams. Commenting on Chulani’s appointment, Mohit Burman, Co-Promoter and Director of Kings XI Punjab, said: “We are positive that his association with the team will not only keep the players motivated, but also help them identify their strengths.” Kings XI Punjab will be head by David Miller who has featured in 47 IPL matches so far scoring 1,319 runs at a smashing average of 42.55 and an incredible strike rate of 147.54. He has one century and eight fifties to his name in IPL. Miller has a good T20I record as well. With him being named as KXIP captain, it shall be interesting to see whether it will it improve the fortunes of the team which has not performed very well in the previous IPL seasons. Kings were sitting at the bottom in points table in IPL 2015.
