India's 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev has his take on the Sachin Tendulkar vs Vinod Kambli debate.

The 57-year-old feels that Kambli was a more talented player than Tendulkar, but could not make it big due to the lack of a good support system.

He recalled how they both started together but had different lifestyles which proved crucial in the long run.

Eventually Tendulkar played for 24 years while Kambli disappeared into oblivion.

In their initial years, Kambli was more successful at Test level while Tendulkar excelled in the ODI format. However, the former lost his place in the side at the turn of the century and the latter went on to break a large number of records in both versions of the game.
