Love Crocs Doctors Warn They Can Be Really Bad For Your Feet

The doctors have spoken. Crocs are really bad for your feet. Sorry. The mega-famous brand Crocs, that has already sold 300 million pairs across 90 nations, has apparently been ruining feet all this while. You may swear by it - even wear them to work for goodness sake - but for doctors, they're no better than the monsters under your bed.

Dr. Megan Leahy, a podiatrist with the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Chicago, told the Huffington Post, "Unfortunately, Crocs are not suitable for all-day use. These shoes do not adequately secure the heel. When the heel is unstable, toes tend to grip which can lead to tendinitis, worsening of toe deformities, nail problems, corns and calluses. The same thing can happen with flip-flops or any backless shoes as the heel is not secured."

If you're a daily wearer of Crocs, chances are that you might have experienced pain in your heel or arch of your foot. Podiatrists, therefore, advise wearing Crocs for shorter durations of time as these are definitely not made for all-day use.
