Meet Freya Britain Loneliest Dog Who Was Turned Down 18,000 Times Because Of Her Epilepsy

Freya, a six-year-old rescued mutt, may be popular on Facebook but in reality, she is the loneliest dog in Britain. Desperately looking for a home, Freya has been turned down 18,000 times. The immenseness of the number is enough to make our hearts break. Freya's carers at Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool are extremely worried that Freya may never find a loving home. The pooch was recently diagnosed with epilepsy - a condition that requires constant medical attention and blood tests every three months. Freya's guardians are upset that a loving dog like Freya is being turned down so harshly. Not even her 700 friends on Facebook are interested in taking the adorable pooch home.

Kate Jones, Deputy Manager at the centre said, "Freya was brought into the rescue as a young stray but nobody came forward to claim her. She has been here many years now and is constantly overlooked, which breaks our hearts as we adore her. We do not understand why she has been overlooked for so long."

"Every year we update her age on the website and it absolutely breaks our hearts to see her getting older and has never had a home. She is a beautiful girl, so loving and friendly. She is our big baby," added Kate, as reported by Daily Mail.

What Freya requires is an adult-only home where the owners are patient and welcoming of Freya's condition.

Kate believes that Freya deserves a "forever home" where she is loved unconditionally - an emotion that she reciprocates with equal magnanimity. The centre has looked after Freya for six years (after she was rescued as a stray) and it wouldn't be easy to give her up but finding her a real home is important because Freya deserves that as much as any other dog out there.

Freya is a fun-loving, people-loving dog and enjoys having her belly tickled. "Freya has so much potential, she just needs someone to give her that chance. She may take a few weeks to settle and calm down, but that is understandable after her poor start to life."
Any takers out there?
