Who would have thought that dreams can come true at 80 too? When intent is right, age is just a number! For Malayalaayee actor Subbulakshmi, life is a big book of doodles, Carnatic concerts and everything in between. She became the first lady composer in South India for All India Radio in 1972. She began acting in her 60's and has more than 60 films to her credit now. She recently shared screen space with the Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor in a heart-warming TV commercial of a chips brand. Malayalali actress Subbulakshmi didn’t know much about Ranbir. She made him pose for a picture with her and found him a “very nice boy, polite and respectful.” She said: “I didn’t know he was so big. All I knew when the ad company called me was that they are good, and that they will take care of me. They said I have hit the jackpot!” Calling Ranbir Kapoor a “very nice boy, polite and respectful”, she said, “I had asked to take a snap with him, he said why not, and took many.” She appeared in different costumes in the ad. Watch her ad right here: Recalling her experience with Sridevi, she said: “She was very nice to me. I had asked if we could take a photo after work. But the shooting had gone on till 10 pm, so I wasn’t sure about troubling her. And then I see her come to me and ask about the photo. These people are so great and so humble.” According to Subbhulakshmi, “can’t do” doesn't exist in her life. 'Age can stop you only if you let it', says Subbhulakshmoi. She concluded saying, “I would go on like this as long as I could. I don’t think of obstacles!". Well said, woman!
