Minor Girl Ran Away From Home After Fight With Parents Gangraped In Noida

A 13-year-old girl was gangraped allegedly by three persons in Noida on Tuesday night, reports Times Of India. All three accused were later arrested on Wednesday. “The accused -- Azad, Amir and Zahid -- all autorickshaw drivers, were arrested from their hideouts…They were produced in the court and were sent to a 14-day judicial custody,” said Kiran Sivakumar, senior superintendent of police (SSP), Gautam Budh Nagar, speaking to Hindustan Times. The girl speaking to the police said that she ran away from her home in Shamli in Uttar Pradesh after a spat with her parents. Thereafter, she boarded a bus to Noida and reached sector 71 around 1 am. When she was standing at the bus stop, two men in an auto-rickshaw reportedly approached her and enquired as to why she is standing all alone late at night. When she informed them that she had run away from home, they reportedly said that they would provide her shelter, reports Times Of India. When she reached one of the accused's home, another person was called in. She suspected something was fishy and tried to escape. However, the three accused took her to a park in Sector 119 around 2 am and raped her, reports Hindustan Times. The girl complained to the police in the morning after which, an FIR was filed. "The girl is back with her family at her home, further investigation continues.” Anup Singh, Circle Officer, Noida said, speaking to The New Indian Express.
