Nawazuddin Siddiqui Was Asked To Take Sides On The Ban Of Pak Artists And His Reply Won Hands Down

Bollywood hasn't come to a unanimous decision on whether banning Pakistani actors and artists in India is a sensible step. While people like Salman Khan and KJo have made sensible points on why banning artists is not a step that we are taking towards curbing terrorism in India, Nana Patekar condemned the people from the industry who felt so. Salman Khan, who gave a statement in favor of Pakistani artists, made a strong comment that Pakistani film stars working in India were "artists and not terrorists" but Khan ended up receiving a lot of flak for his comment. The latest actor to comment on the ban of Pakistani artists is Nawazuddin Siddiqui. According to Nawaz, Pak actors and artists should leave India for now. He was quizzed by the media on whether, just like his role in the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, he would act as a bridge between India and Pakistan and support the likes of Salman Khan in favour of Pakistani actors working in Bollywood.

Answering the same, Siddiqui said,

"The situation between India and Pakistan is very sensitive and they (Pakistani actors) should leave India."

When Siddiqui was further asked whether he doesn't belong to the group of Salman Khan and other actors favouring Pakistani actors, he had the best reply to give. He said.

"It is not about with which group of actors I belong to. It is a matter of our country. Aur desh se badhkar kuch nahi hai. (There is nothing superior than our country)."
