Five years on, Osama's killing is still as fresh as if it just happened yesterday. Well, at least for the CIA. The intelligence arm of the US government just released a series of tweets, chronologically covering their Abbottabad raid which led to the capture and killing of al-Qaeda's founder.
Using the hashtag #UBLRaid, the CIA exploded on Twitter with updates on the raid as if it were happening in real-time. Here how it all unfolded. To mark the 5th anniversary of the Usama Bin Ladin operation in Abbottabad we will tweet the raid as if it were happening today.#UBLRaid

While the CIA's Twitter stunt attracted a lot of attention, not everyone was amused. While some expressed their concern over the agency's lack of respect for people's privacy, others hailed the activity as one that made them proud to be the citizens of America.Daring #UBLRaid was an IC team effort & in close collaboration with our military partners.https://t.co/rklCIRLlgF pic.twitter.com/xZObdGeqPR
