Oops Indias Fastest Train Gatimaan Express Rams Into Dead End At Agra Station

India's first semi-high speed train, 'Gatimaan Express' on Thursday hit the platform buffers after it rammed into the dead end at Agra Cantt. station. The dramatic incident took place when the train reached Agra Cantonment station's platform 6 and the loco pilot was shunting it backward when it suddenly collided with the dead end.



Reacting to the incident, Railway Officer Bhupinder Dhillon said, "The Gatiman Express arrived at platform number six. The driver was pulling the train backwards. The buffer touched the dead end. Due to that, there have been minor damages." She also assured for the investigation in the accident.

However, there have been no damages to the train and it departed at its scheduled time to Delhi.

India's fastest train covers the 188-km distance from New Delhi to Agra in the stipulated 100 minutes at its top speed of 160 km/hr.
