Actress Kamya Punjabi, who has been Pratyusha’s close friend since Bigg Boss revealed that Pratyusha and her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh were in a complicated relationship & she used to often make complaints about Rahul’s behavior to Kamya. Kamya added:

“Pratyusha called me a few days ago and told me she needed to get out of her relationship.” Another close friend of Pratyusha, Vikas Gupta also revealed that Pratyusha was in an abusive relationship. He added:

“There is a lot of evidence that Rahul had physically assaulted Pratyusha. There was this one party, where he had slapped her and many people knew about it. We will show the evidence when the time comes. There were marks on her face and nose.” Vikas also rubbished the rumors surrounding Pratyusha and her impending debts and loans. He told media that he even had offered a role to Pratyusha and she had enough work because she used to charge lakhs for a cameo. Pratyusha's co-star Shashank Vyas too admitted the same. Pratyusha’s lawyer, who was also present revealed that Pratyusha was already in talks with him because she wanted to file a case against Rahul around ten days before her death. Rahul had to undergo a questioning session with Mumbai police for about 14 hours on Saturday and while the investigation is still going on, latest reports claim that Pratyusha's boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital after he complained of chest pain and breathlessness.
