Because the persecutors from the Hamilton County office are now in the process of meeting with the police who are investigating the endangered gorilla's death after a four-year-old boy had fallen into the animal enclosure.

The move comes after the police earlier showed no signs of levying charges against the boy's parents. But amid growing online outrage that kick-started a Change.org petition for Harambe, the prosecutors said on Tuesday that they will meet with the police when the latter's investigation reaches its conclusion, reports the Associated Press.
