Rakhi Sawant and Dolly Bindra In Legal Trouble For Mocking Pratyusha Banerjee Suicide
If we ever make a list of ‘Most absurd over-pretentious’ celebrities, guess who’ll top the list? Well, Dolly Bindra and Rakhi Sawant would be running a tough competition for the first spot. While the nation was mourning Pratyusha Banerjee’s tragic death, these two women were too busy in gaining publicity. Dolly Bindra circulated the phone conversation with Pratyusha's mother after her death, Dolly made some private comments about Pratyusha’s personal life which were inappropriate for a lot of reasons. According to sources, Dolly Bindra had leaked the news of Pratyusha having vermillion on her forehead when she was rushed to the hospital for treatment! Dolly stooped lower by visiting Pratyusha and Rahul Raj Singh's Goregaon flat in order to click pictures.
On the other hand, Rakhi Sawant surpassed all levels of absurdity by holding a press conference and making a ‘request’ to PM Modi! Rakhi wanted PM Modi to ban ceiling fans because obviously no fans mean no suicides!
Sigh. These cheap publicity gimmicks have already left Pratyusha’s family and friends furious! Now reports claim that Cine and TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) is planning to send show cause notices to both of them.
According to a source:
"We are appalled by their insensitive and obnoxious statements. It proves how inhuman they are even in matters of death. It's a serious matter, and we are sending a show-cause notice to them.â€
Amit Behl, Chairperson Dispute Committee, CINTAA, told TOI
"A notice will be sent to them soon. People can't stoop so low and hog the limelight when the matter is as sensitive as this. I will raise the issue at our Annual General Meeting on May 1 and propose a ban on them."
