Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli took to social media to show his anguish at the death of police horse Shaktiman. Shaktiman died on Wednesday after getting brutally beaten up during a political rally. It suffered multiple fractures on its hind leg during a BJP protest in Dehradun last month. Kohli tweeted that it was us humans who failed the horse in life.
It was a warm gesture by the India Test skipper. His sentiment is one which is echoed by many across the country.Rest In Peace, you innocent soul #Shaktiman. We, humans, failed you.
