Royal Enfield Director Of Design Pierre Terblanche Quits The Company

Royal Enfield has carved quite a niche with its retro modern motorcycle range, especially in the looks department. The café racer looks of the Continental GT and the off-roader, the Himalayan, are probably the best looking Royal Enfields ever.

Unfortunately, their Director of design, Pierre Terblanche, has left the company. He had joined the company in 2014 and worked out of the England office. The company hasn’t reacted on the news of his departure.

Terblanche started his career with Volkswagen and worked on the interior design of cars like the Golf and Polo. He moved to Ducati Rimini and worked with legendary designer Massimo Tamburini. Later he worked with Cagiva before moving back to Ducati. Here, one of his most important designs was the 999, the successor to the much loved 996 and 916. He also penned the lines of the offroad HyperMotard.
