Even though Sangeeta Bijlani and Salman Khan broke up ages ago after being in a serious relationship – in fact, as Salman revealed on Koffee With Karan, they came close to getting married – she is still very close to the actor and his family. Not only does she share a good relationship with both his mothers, Helen and Salma Khan, but she is also very protective of Salman.

The other day, while speaking to a friend of the actor, I heard that, among all of Salman’s girlfriends, Katrina Kaif was someone Sangeeta was never fond of. Even though the two were seen together at Galaxy for events and even posed for the cameras privately, Sangeeta was rather wary of Kat and always asked Salman to protect himself before getting involved. Not sure why exactly Sangeeta was a bit apprehensive when it came to Katrina – and who knows how much Salman even paid heed to her warning – but it is what it is!
