Tanmay Bhatt Goes On A Viral Rant Calls Out All Those Who Call Themselves Anti-Feminists

Feminism – This one word has kept many people on their toes over the last couple of years. Be it arguments, debates, lectures or even routine talks with friends or family. Feminist is one word that has been misused and dragged so much that people have now started using it casually for anything and everything. So what exactly is Feminism? According to our dear old wiki, Feminism is a range of political movements, ideologies, and social movements that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve equal political, economic, personal, and social rights for women. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment In short, Feminism just means advocating for women’s rights on the grounds of equality between both the sexes. Now, trust AIB’s co-founder Tanmay Bhatt to show everyone the folly of misunderstanding the movement with just a 2-minute video. He recently shared a video explaining to everyone the real meaning of feminism and who really are feminists according to him. What more, he even went on to say that it irritates him when people call all the feminists constant whiners. “If you believe men and women should have equal rights, that makes you a feminist. That’s it. There’s nothing else,” he says in the video. He further lashed out saying that people who say that ‘real feminists’ should talk out ‘real issues’ like infanticide and dowry are the same people who think that talking about sexism in movies and wage gap is superficial and unimportant. Not only the video is spot on, the tone he uses to ape the so called ‘feminists’ is just hilarious. He ends the 2-minute video saying if you have a friend who says that he is not a feminist just give him a tapli and say that you are and you just don’t know it yet!
