So remember on January 4th, when everybody was excited abou how Sonu Nigam sang mid-air on board a Jet Airways flight? Well, sadly the entire crew has been suspended for allowing him to Sonu Nigam. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation wanted the airways to take strict action against this, and hence the suspension. They also pushed the airlines to take action against the 5 flight attendants on board who allowed for Sonu Nigam to sing. Jet Airways, in a statement, said that all the cabin crew on the flight had been removed from flight duty for “enquiry and corrective training to reinforce strict adherence to operating procedure”.

Jet Airways also said that the singer had “misused” the flight announcement system by singing from the plane’s address system.

The incident had taken place in a Jodhpur to Mumbai flight where all the passengers knew each other as they were returning from a wedding, had requested Sonu Nigam to sing for them and he obliged. Later some of the passengers also sang with him, and a few made videos that made their way to social media and eventually went viral.
