While we all sobbed and cried buckets after watching Deepika read out that letter, not many know that the letter was actually written for Sudha Menon's book, Legacy : Letters from Eminent Parents to their Daughters. The letter was actually a part of author Sudha Menon's book `Legacy: Letters from Eminent Parents to Their Daughters'. No one ever wrote or mentioned that the letter was actually written for Menon's book.

All thanks to Chanda Kochhar's letter to her daughter that went crazy viral that Menon has finally got her due.

This letter was also a part of several books and publications and they all had properly credited Menon’s book. Well, better late than ever!
