In an unprecedented move the royal family of Jaipur has taken its battle with Jaipur Development Authority over Raj Mahal Palace heritage hotel to the streets. Led by 'Rajamata' Padmini Devi, and supported by locals the royals on Thursday condemned the highhandedness of the JDA. "The entire Jaipur is with us today and I am overwhelmed. Please be with us. I was very much hurt over the high handed action by JDA at the Raj Mahal Palace," Padmini Devi said. The royals move come after last week JDA sealed the main entrance to the royal family's Raj Mahal Palace.

According to the government it is only taking over the parts of the property that it legally acquired in 1993.

The historic palace have in the past hosted Queen Elizabeth, Lord Mountbatten and the Shah of Iran.
