The Worlds Deepest Swimming Pool Is So Deep That It Can Easily Fit 8 Double-Decker Buses

One of Belgium's most attractive tourist reactions, Nemo 33 is the world's deepest swimming pool. It's 113 feet deep and can hold 600,000 gallons or water. That's 22,71,247 litres! In other, simpler words - the hole is huge enough to hold 8 double-decker buses!

Designed by professional Belgian diver, John Beernearts, the pool has different levels of depth and many caverns that allow divers to acclimatise to the water. The pool contains non-chlorinated spring water and is kept at a steady temperature of 30 degrees.

Anyone interested in taking swimming classes here has to be over the age of 12. Children who are below the age of 15 cannot dive to levels deeper than 12 meters. Those are only reserved for divers with years of experience. But even the most experienced can't keep to the depth for more than 10 minutes at a given stretch.

But those who are hydrphobic can still enjoy the pool views by dining in an underwater restaurant.

Given all the adventure, the rules at Nemo 33 are strict and straightforward. Instructors are always present to ensure the safety of the swimmers.
