Pakistan women cricketers have their Indian male counterparts as idols, as revealed by their skipper Sana Mir. Mir said that Virat Kohli was the most popular cricketer in the team though her personal favourite is Mahendra Singh Dhoni. She added that despite most of her players liking Kohli, she admired Dhoni for the way he led the Indian team.

The 30-year-old said she will step down as skipper after the World T20. She wants to personally supervise a smooth change of guard by continuing as an ordinary team member before calling it a day.

How well the women's team does in the World T20, remains to be seen. But the inspiration they draw from those across the border, shows that respect knows no boundaries.
