While Touring The Drought Hit Regions Of Maharashtra Aamir Khan Adopted 2 Villages

Many Bollywood actors have come forward in order to help the drought-struck regions of Maharashtra and their efforts are surely commendable. Apart from Nana Patekar and Akshay Kumar, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is fully extending his support in order to help drought-affected families in Maharashtra. Aamir had also visited Beed from Aurangabad, which is one of the three worst affected districts in Maharashtra as part of a water conservation awareness project. Applauding Maharashtra government's Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyaan, Aamir had said: "Arresting rain water and conserving every drop are the only options to fight droughts and drought-like situations in the long run. The water issue in Maharashtra is worsening every passing day. To tackle this problem permanently, we have to give preference to the success of Jal Yukta Shivar and similar projects."

According to a latest Times Now report, Aamir Khan, who was on a visit to drought affected regions of Maharashtra came across two adversely affected areas (Tal and Koregaon) & he instantly decided to adopt them.

In order to support uplift the region, Khan will not only extend monetary support, he intends to uplift the region. This is not the first time that Aamir is putting sincere efforts in bringing things in order. In 2001, Aamir had adopted villages of Kutch in Gujarat after the earthquake.
