World Injured Swan Hugging Her Saviour In An Incredible Gesture Of Gratitude Will Move You To Tears

In a world where humans will cover any length to harm, maim and even kill animals for their personal satisfaction, this story of a man and a swan reminds us how love and care can give birth to an exceptional form of friendship between humans and animals. Not long ago, we came across a horrific tale of a tourist killing a swan for her love for a perfect selfie. While the woman dragged the swan out of the water, tugged at its wings, and clicked photos as the bird suffered, we witnessed the tragic death of a creature who was mercilessly used for fulfilling human needs.

But not this one. This swan was shown kindness in such abundance that it remembered to reciprocate the gesture even after years had passed.

Richard Wiese had first met the animal at the Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset when he had visited to host a TV show. Richard had come to the swan's aid when the bird had injured itself by flying into a chain link fence, reports the Daily Mail.

The bird was later transported to a sanctuary for recuperation.

But when the duo reunited years later, it seemed the swan remembered Richard's very selfless act of kindness, for it completely surrendered itself and 'hugged' the man who saved its life.

"I pulled it to my chest and somehow it felt comfortable or safe, and within minutes it just surrendered itself. It literally took its neck and wrapped it around mine," Richard was quoted as saying to ABC News.
