It was the best of times and the worst of times, this last week in India. Floods in the northeast and a cyclone on the east coast dampened a week when a football pageant was launched to inspire Indians to take to the beautiful game. It was also a week of ironies when at a time both Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged serious firepower at the LOC, two extraordinary citizens from both countries won the Nobel peace prize.
