In a vague part of my daily news routine, I know the IPL is on. But I am not really clear on the names of the new teams or if Priety Zinta is still waving the Kings XI flag as furiously as she used to, that is provided of course she is still a team owner. To me IPL is done and dusted, it's a bit actually like watching WWF wrestling, more hype less substance. The real story instead is about a 22-year-old girl from Tripura and her qualification for the Rio Olympics this year. There is no devil in that detail, it doesn’t matter if Dipa Karmakar is the first woman gymnast to qualify or not. It’s big enough feat that she has and that too in a sport that is to put it mildly, highly sidelined in our country.
